Arrival and training in Pomarance
Your adventure begins in Pomarance with an introduction to the equestrian center. Here you will learn how to load, brush and guide the donkey, and discover what he likes and does not like. This is followed by a short guided walk to put everything into practice right away. Accommodation: petting zoo and agriturismo with pool in Pomarance.
From Pomarance to Libbiano
After leaving the stables, you will first descend through the fields to the river. Then the path winds up to Libbiano, a charming hilltop village with beautiful views over the region, and on clear days even to the sea and the island of Elba. You can explore the village or continue to the agriturismo for a dip in the pool. Accommodation: equipped tent or room at agriturismo.
Back to Pomarance
The last stage leads through the shady maquis and oak forests of the nature reserve. On this hillside are numerous springs where animals come to drink - with any luck you will spot deer or roe deer. The path crosses the river and winds further through the hills towards Pomarance, with beautiful views of villages and the typical Tuscan landscape along the way.
