We had two very pleasant stays! And Carolina was really great! Such a sweet donkey! Arthur probably rode her for no more than two minutes, because he was walking along at a brisk pace himself. We couldn’t resist coming back again this year to hike with the fantastic Fiamma. This time, our son and his girlfriend joined us. They’d heard us raving about last year’s hike and were so eager to come. Fiamma was a blast—always picking the best trails—and she quickly learned that breaks meant treats! She shared our fruit and sandwiches (though she didn’t like the tomatoes). We miss her soft nose and her marvelous long ears.
Walking slowly through the enchanting Tuscan hills is an extraordinary experience, so beneficial for both body and soul.

Everything else went smoothly, too, and the vegetarian meal was great.
At Fattoria die Libbiano, they lent Markus some shoes because his hiking boots had broken. They said we should leave them with you the next time you see him. They're in your storage unit.

Wir hatten einen großartigen Urlaub mit der zuckersüßen Eselin Fiamma. Es war unsere erste Eselwanderung mit unserem 10-jährigen Sohn. Erstaunlicherweise hat er über 5 Tage kein einziges Mal das „Zocken“ vermisst und hat uns Eltern super mit GPS durch die wunderschöne toskanische Landschaft geguided. Fiamma war super, es gab keinen Stress, wenn man sich auf das Eseltempo einlässt und vlt. für 1,5 km auch mal 1 Stunde braucht :-), was bei der Wärme aber auch gut war, dass Fiamma und zur Gelassenheit genötigt hat. Die Unterkünfte waren erstklassig, in jeder Bleibe gab es einen tollen Pool zur Abkühlung und das Essen war ebenfalls überall top! Wir haben nur herzliche Menschen getroffen. Das traurige am Urlaub war, dass wir Fiamma wieder abgeben mussten, die uns im Laufe der Woche ans Herz gewachsen ist. Wenn man einen aktiven, aber trotzdem entspannten Urlaub machen möchte, viel sehen will und die Toskana hautnah erleben möchte, ist die Eseltour genau das Richtige. Danke Tinne für die hilfreichen Tipps im Umgang mit den gutmütigen Vierbeinern. Wir werden bezüglich Eselwanderung zu Wiederholungstätern 🙂 Antje, Uwe und Kalle

Our five-day trip with Fiamma is over.
How much we enjoyed. This was an absolute once in a lifetime experience to cherish. The overwhelming nature, the variety of landscapes: hay fields, narrow paths through woods or long grass, the magnificent views... the absolute quiet and of course the interaction with our little donkey.
Of course the first contact with her was a little, let's say: special! 😉 But quickly forgotten.
When rigging up, when tightening the belly strap, she showed that behavior twice more.
We then left that loose and only tightened a little more afterwards.
The accommodations were top notch and the food super delicious. We can really recommend this kind of vacation to anyone who loves nature and animals.
