We are a family of 5 (2 adults, three kids) from Belgium and did the donkey trip for the second time. 4 years ago in 2019 and now in 2023. We enjoyed the wonderful area of Pomarance (Tuscany) each time. If you choose the 5 day trip, you typically choose for the longer walks. It is worth the effort if you like walking. Please note that during summer it tends to get very hot so leave early. Our children enjoyed walking with the donkey and taking care of it. The places we stayed in vary in experience. The Selvole was the least and the Landucia was the best!
