In early August we did the 3 day donkey ride with our 6 year old daughter. It was a great experience and all three of us enjoyed it. The day before the hike started we first received from Tinne a very good and clear explanation how everything works and especially how to handle the donkey. The next day the hike started with each other. First the grooming starts and then the walk. The nice thing is that during the walk our daughter could also occasionally get on the donkey's back, so the whole walk was carried out without any problems. The trails were varied, from well-traveled to over rocks and crossing a river. This made the hike challenging at times but great fun! It is a great way to really experience the beautiful landscape of Toscana intensely. We fortunately did not have hot days so the hike was also good to do. The accommodations were also well taken care of! Highly recommended and especially if you have young children and still want to do a nice hike!
