In July 2025, we (a Belgian family with two children aged 9 and 5) took the three-day donkey trek Adio. We absolutely enjoyed it! We had no experience with donkeys (or horses) beforehand, but thanks to Tinne's knowledgeable explanations and the gentle nature of our little donkey Selvaggia, it was no problem at all! The walks are beautiful and Selva was a good (sometimes somewhat stubborn, how could it be otherwise) travelling companion. Our youngest son was very happy to ride on Selvaggia's back for part of the hike from time to time. The agritourisms where we stayed were fantastic. The only downside to our experience, perhaps, was that we hadn't booked a longer hike ;)!
